Small script. Big eyes.
Why Tarsier exists, what it believes, and why its mascot is a tiny primate with enormous eyes.
very analytics tool we tried wanted the same trade: give us your visitors' privacy, and we will give you charts. Or give us your afternoon, and we will give you charts. Tarsier started from the suspicion that both halves of that deal are unnecessary.
So here is the whole product: one tiny script on your site, one calm dashboard, and answers to three questions — what happened, what is happening now, and is anything interesting happening?
Three beliefs, no more
- Small footprint. Analytics should never be the heaviest thing on your website.
- Privacy, not paperwork. Measuring visits should not require surveillance.
- Clarity over completeness. A dashboard you check daily beats one you dread quarterly.
Why a tarsier
Tarsiers are some of the smallest primates alive, with famously enormous eyes. Small footprint. Big eyes. Always watching. We did not overthink it.
The useful stuff. None of the dashboard archaeology.
Install takes about a minute. Come back whenever you want. Tarsier will be here. Watching.
